So you have used your beavis board to create your ultimate pedal design. You've tweaked and tuned and stuck it on your pedalboard and had a rocking good time. Now what? What if you want to take that design and make a real, permanent pedal out of it. Now, with the beavis protobread, you can! What is It?The beavis protobread is a prototyping PCB that is laid out just like your beavis board breadboard. This means that you can directly transfer your design from the breadboard to a PCB, solder the components, and build a real pedal. The board size is 99cm x 58cm (3.9" x 2.3") making it a perfect size for Hammond 1590BB or 125B enclosures. The beavis protobread LayoutHere's what the top side of the beavis protobread looks like: ![]() As you can see, there are connected rows in the middle, just like a breadboard. On the sides are the + and - power busses. On the bottom right there is a power supply section (its use is optional, see the section on Power Supply Section below for details), and on the bottom mid-left, a set of pads making it easy to connect your PCB to a 3PDT stompswitch. Ok, Great. How Do I Use it?Check out the new PDF: Let’s Build a Pedal using the beavis protobread v1!
